If life feels full — but not quite settled
You’re capable. You manage work, home and family. People rely on you. But your body may be telling you that something isn’t quite working.
Perhaps you’re often bloated or constipated. Your energy crashes in the afternoon. You get headaches, your sleep is unpredictable, your periods have changed, or you feel tired during the day and wired when you finally want to sleep.
So you try things. You eat differently. Take supplements. Drink matcha. Try to get more protein. Start a new morning routine. Get back to yoga. Go to bed earlier.
Some things help for a while. Then life gets busy, the routine slips, and a few weeks later you find yourself back in the same place. These symptoms can seem like separate problems. But when you start looking at what happens around them — how you eat, sleep, work and rest, and how these change through the seasons — patterns begin to appear.
And once you can see the pattern, you have somewhere to begin.
Start with what your body is telling you
This is the approach I use in my work with Yoga and Ayurveda:
Your Symptoms
Start with what you can feel. Your digestion, energy, sleep, menstrual cycle, headaches, tension and other physical signs all give you information.
Your Patterns
Look at when those symptoms appear and what tends to happen around them. Meal times, sleep, stress, work, travel, family life and the changing seasons can all reveal useful patterns.
Your Rhythms
Those patterns help us look more closely at your digestive, sleep and hormonal rhythms, within the larger daily and seasonal rhythms that Ayurveda has worked with for thousands of years.
Your Anchors
Then we find the small, repeatable practices that give you somewhere to return to — a regular lunch, hot water in the morning, an earlier evening, a breathing practice, the right food for the season.
Over time, you begin to recognise when something has shifted and know what helps you find your way back.
A Glimpse into Sacred Pause
Live a full life — with body and mind rooted in steadiness.
Yoga and Ayurveda for women in Ickenham, Uxbridge and online who want to feel well while living full, demanding lives.
For over 25 years, I’ve helped women understand the patterns behind how they feel and make practical changes to food, daily life and self-care.
My approach is rooted in the daily and seasonal rhythms of Ayurveda, alongside Yoga practices that support the body and mind through changing stages of life.
The aim is simple: to understand yourself well enough to recognise when something has shifted, know what helps, and find your way back sooner.
Sometimes we know that we want something to change before we know exactly how we're going to get there. We take a step. We follow the path. We might even lose our way for a while. And eventually, we find ourselves somewhere new.
Perhaps that's what a pause can offer too.
A chance to step away from everyday life for a little while and create enough space to see where you want to go next.

5 Daily Ayurvedic Shifts to Feel Like Yourself Again
Meet Katja
I help women understand the patterns behind how they feel — from digestion and sleep to headaches, changing energy and hormonal symptoms — and know where to begin.
My work brings together Yoga and Ayurveda, with daily and seasonal rhythms at its foundation. It’s practical, rooted in nearly 30 years of teaching and study, and designed to work within a full life.
My own experience of overcoming ulcerative colitis through food and lifestyle changes shaped the way I teach today: helping you understand your body, recognise when something has shifted, and find the small changes that help you return to balance.

A Glimpse into Back to Rhythm
I had to smile when I realised that this week has been a rather good example of why I’m creating Back to Rhythm.
Life changes our rhythm all the time. We travel. We have visitors. Work becomes busy. The weather affects us. Family needs us. Sometimes we simply get tired. And then we find our way back.
That’s really at the heart of what I’m building with Back to Rhythm. I want you to understand your own rhythms well enough that you can recognise when something has shifted and know what helps you return.
Because life will keep happening. The aim is to have something familiar to come back to.
